A good football hoodie should last more than one season. Printed apparel is not hard to look after, but a few habits make the difference between a print that stays sharp and one that cracks after a handful of washes.
Washing
- Turn it inside out. This protects the print from rubbing against other clothes and the drum.
- Wash cold. 30 degrees or below is plenty for a hoodie. Hot washes are what age prints fastest.
- Skip the fabric softener. It can break down the print over time.
- Use a gentle cycle and a normal detergent. Avoid bleach.
Drying
Air drying is best. Hang it or lay it flat. If you use a tumble dryer, keep it on a low heat and take the hoodie out while it is still slightly damp.
Ironing and storage
Try not to iron directly on the print. If you have to, turn the hoodie inside out and use a low heat. Fold it rather than hanging it for long periods, so the shoulders keep their shape.
Check the care label
Each product page lists material details, and the label inside the garment is always the final word. If in doubt, follow the label.
